Hello, I'm Inês
I am a mediator passionate about creating respectful and constructive spaces where people feel heard and understood. I specialise in guiding individuals and teams through conflict with practicing empathy and active listening in finding creative and practical solutions.
My Story
Inês founded Talk It Through in 2025, after seven years of cultivating expertise in conflict management, workplace investigations, mediation and the development of communities of practice. This enabled her to learn about human behaviour and interactions.

Inês holds a Master's in Public International Law from Leiden University, a Post-graduate degree in European Union Law, and a Bachelor's in Law from Nova Law School. From early on, she realised that she didn't want to pursue the life of a lawyer or a judge, but that she wanted to support and help people in a different manner.
After years of working in the field of conflict management, performing workplace investigations with investigation panels, reading, researching and learning about topics such as restorative justice, mediation and trauma-informed processes, she finally understood that her calling was to become a mediator. Building on her legal foundation, she expanded her expertise in mediation with certifications from the International Mediation Campus and the Institute for Certification and Training of Lusophone Mediators (ICFML).

Fluent in Portuguese and English, Inês is deeply committed to fostering respectful, inclusive and safe environments through her work, with the understanding that conflict is a door of opportunities, with the potential to lead to better ways of coexisting and collaborating. Inês sees mediation as a tool to increase self-awareness, cultivate active listening and empathy and, consequently, to build a more peaceful world.
